Description
This large and romantic park on the banks of Lake Geneva was opened in June 2010 for visitors to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
It has paths (including paths for disabled visitors), lawns and views of the lake, Jura Mountains and Switzerland.
Parc de Corzent is a new public area on the banks of Lake Geneva!
Following the Conservatoire du Littoral, Conseil Général de Haute-Savoie and the town of Thonon’s joint acquisition and renovation of the land measuring 4.7 ha. (formerly private property), Parc de Corzent has been open to the public since June 2010.
It is on the upper banks of Lake Geneva in a protected natural setting with unobstructed views of the area.
Visitors cannot access the lake from the park as it is blocked by a balustrade therefore please use the nearby free Corzent beach.
You can reach it from the town centre via the one-way Avenue de Corzent (also a cycle path).
Welcome one and all to this new public area on the edge of Lake Geneva in an "au naturel", romantic, waterfront location with century-old trees, a biodiversity reserve plus disabled facilities.
Bring family and friends for a stroll!
